ANDREW “BOOTS” HARDY

Boots

Andrew “Boots” Hardy grew up in the North Bay, and has lived up and down the California Coast throughout his life, from the Redwood Empire to San Diego.

He developed a passion for writing after earning the Young Writer’s Award at age 8. During the pandemic, he began reporting on issues of social justice. He spent several years as senior layout designer for the award-winning San Quentin News, and eventually became managing editor of Wall City magazine, while continuing to cover stories on criminal and social justice. He is currently editor of the San Francisco International Arts Festival’s newsletter and is interning with California Lawyers for the Arts while continuing to write as a freelancer.

Boots lives in the East Bay, where he enjoys volunteering and being of service to his community.
