Jesse Seguin, TheatreStorm’s reviewer of concert music and occasionally opera, states that he began his musical career as a “high school band nerd” playing bassoon in Woodbridge, Virginia. Eventually, he earned his music degree (in bassoon performance) from Virginia Commonwealth University where he expanded his musical horizons to include the classic symphonic repertoire and, especially, opera, which he adores. Having found his home by the San Francisco bay, he pursues a daytime career as a behavioral specialist working with autistic children and hopes eventually to become a fully licensed music therapist.
